This painting was inspired by my daughter’s artistic talent. She was drawing a cat with simple and elegant shapes that caught my eye. I decided to use her style as a basis for my own painting, then I added some elements of my own imagination. This painting depicts a cat in a formal suit and bow tie, who is being followed by a sinister spirit that has taken over his mind and body to manipulate his actions. This painting is a metaphor of the external forces in our lives that influence us, and make us feel as though we’ve lost free will and control.
